How can this be done without puncturing the skin?

The procedure is simple:
STEP 1: APPLY THE FUNCTIONAL ACTIVE GEL
Take the syringe containing Functional Active Gel out of the pack and apply it generously to the face and neck evenly with the small application spatula.
STEP 2: APPLY THE ACTIVATION MASK
Take the activation mask out of the bag and apply it to your face and neck. You will notice that the mask is dry: this is normal as it is loaded with citric acid which will enable the reaction on the skin.
In fact, the moment you put on the activation mask you will start the process of generating CO2, which thanks to the occlusion provided by the mask itself can only enter under the skin.
